MSW LANDFILL SUPERVISOR
THREE RIVERS SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Under general supervision, this position is responsible for managing the daily operations of a Subtitle D landfill in accordance with applicable regulations. Ensures efficient service to customers while providing a safe work environment for employees
Ø Manages and oversees maintenance facility and mechanic to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining compliance.
Ø Ensures maximum productivity, density achievement and establish productivity improvement goals where needed.
Ø Responsible for the adherence to operating standards, the development of employee goals and objectives, and the management of labor hours and operational expenses.
Ø Maintains effective safety culture.
Ø On call nights and weekends for landfill/emergency issues
Ø Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
SUMMARY OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
Ø High school diploma required; college or tech school preferred.
Ø Must be a skilled heavy equipment operator.
Ø Four (4) years of Subtitle D landfill supervisory experience; lead operator experience preferred.
Ø Must have excellent social skills and be able to effectively manage subordinates.
Ø Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ø Excellent problem solving and prioritizing skills.
Ø Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Ø SWANA MOLO Certification preferred. Must obtain SC Certification within the first year.

Welder/Fabricator/Mechanic
Maintenance Department

Salary Range: $33.04/hr - $68,727 annually
Under general supervision, is responsible for welding, hard facing, and fabrication as well as working on construction equipment and maintaining a construction & demolition shredder on the landfill. The position requires outside work as well work inside of the shop. The position requires filling out daily work sheets which document work completed and parts used. Must have hand tools to perform work. Reports to the Maintenance Manager and will be required to stick and mig weld proficiently in all positions.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years experience with welding and fabrication along with mechanic skills.
Salary will be based on experience.

Under general supervision, is responsible for the management, direction and activities of the landfill gas and leachate management system operations including, but not limited to, daily, weekly, monthly, periodic, quarterly and annual operational maintenance, data recording and reporting, daily monitoring activities and inspections. Reports to the Assistant Director of Operations & Planning. This position is a working Supervisor/Lead position.
